Know What's Been Paid. What's Still Owed. And What's Coming Next.
Manage one-time and recurring payments, receivables, due and overdue activity, refunds, customer credits and upcoming payment visibility inside Salesforce with Bonza Payments.
Salesforce-native payment management suiteIllustrative customer payment position for one sample customer, Demo Customer, with a relevant property or account context connected in Salesforce. The current payment position shows $3,000.00 collected, $2,400.00 outstanding, $0.00 currently due and $2,400.00 overdue. The payment timeline shows a previous payment collected, a current payment obligation of $2,400.00, a next expected payment of $1,800.00 on a relevant date and a relevant payment method. Payment intelligence alongside it shows $1,800.00 upcoming, a payment method expiry date and a relevant AI payment insight. Every figure on this page is illustrative sample data. Expected payment activity is not guaranteed collection, and no occupancy, vacancy, rent roll, valuation or asset-performance figure appears anywhere on this page.

How Does Bonza Payments Support Real Estate & Property Organizations?
Payment management — not property management.
Bonza Payments provides Salesforce-native payment management for real estate and property organizations that need to connect customer payment activity with Salesforce. It supports relevant one-time and recurring payments, invoices, receivables, due and overdue payment visibility, refunds, customer credits, configured payment gateways, customer-facing payment experiences and upcoming payment visibility.
Put plainly: Bonza Payments can connect relevant one-time payments, recurring payments, receivables, due and overdue activity, refunds, customer credits, configured payment gateways and upcoming payment visibility. Bonza is not a property management, lease administration, accounting or ERP platform.
The real problem
The Property Relationship May Be Connected. The Payment Operation Often Isn't.
A property organization may already understand the customer, account or relevant property relationship in Salesforce. Answering a basic payment question can still mean opening eight other things.
Eight places one answer can hide
- Salesforce
- Payment gateway
- Recurring payment process
- Invoice
- Receivables report
- Spreadsheet
- Refund record
- Customer-credit record
None of these should need reconstructing
- What has this customer paid?
- What remains outstanding?
- What is due?
- What is overdue?
- What is expected next?
- Was value refunded?
- Does the customer have relevant credit?
- Which payment method may require attention?
The payment problem is often not a lack of data. It is a lack of connected payment context.
Signature · past → present → future
A Complete Payment View Needs More Than Today's Balance.
One illustrative payment obligation, six dates. Move the date and the amount never changes — what changes is what the amount means, and what counts as past and future. This is also the answer to what the difference between outstanding, due and overdue actually is.
Unchanged at every date on this dial. Nothing below alters it — advancing the clock changes its operational state, not its value. Illustrative sample figure.
Past tells you what happened. Present tells you what needs attention. Future tells you what may be coming next.
The distinction finance needs
Not Every Unpaid Amount Means the Same Thing.
If every unpaid amount is treated as the same problem, finance loses the timing context needed to prioritize attention.
Each of those is the same money in a different operational position. An amount sits in exactly one of them on any given day, and which one it is decides who picks it up and how soon. Collapsing them into a single "unpaid" figure is what makes a receivables report hard to act on.

The lifecycle
Manage the Payment Lifecycle Around the Property Relationship.
One path, from the customer context to a payment relationship that keeps going.
Capabilities
Nine Parts of One Property Payment Lifecycle.
Each one is a page of its own. Nothing here claims more than that page does.
Collect Individual Payments Without Losing the Wider Customer Context.
Not every property-related payment belongs to a recurring cycle. A relevant one-time or ad hoc customer payment stays connected with Salesforce and the wider payment lifecycle.
Keep Repeating Property Payments From Creating Repeating Manual Work.
Where relevant customer payments repeat on a schedule, Bonza manages recurring payment activity while keeping each payment connected with Salesforce.
Connect What Was Billed With What Is Still Outstanding.
The invoice tells the organization what was billed. Receivables visibility helps show what remains to be collected, which is how a property organization tracks outstanding payments without a spreadsheet.
Know Which Property Payments Need Attention Now.
An outstanding amount becomes more operationally useful when teams can understand its timing. Bonza surfaces relevant due and overdue customer payment activity inside Salesforce.
See Expected Payment Activity Before the Payment Date Arrives.
Payment forecasting in Bonza focuses on relevant upcoming, scheduled and recurring customer payment activity. It is not treasury, bank-balance or property revenue forecasting.
See Payment-Method Timing Before the Next Relevant Payment.
When a payment method approaches expiry before relevant future payment activity, that timing may deserve attention. That is how payment-method expiry affects an upcoming payment: it changes when someone should look, not whether the payment works.
When a Property Payment Changes, Keep the Value Story Connected.
Post-payment changes should not make the original payment history harder to understand. A refund stays connected with the original payment, and a customer credit carries into future payment context where relevant.
Customer credit is recorded and managed within Bonza Payments — never a tenant wallet, a property wallet, a cash balance, stored funds, escrow or a deposit account.
Explore simplify refunds & creditsUse Multiple Configured Gateways Without Creating Multiple Payment Operations.
Bonza provides a Salesforce-native payment-management layer above configured payment gateways. Configured payment gateways handle relevant underlying payment processing, while Bonza provides the broader Salesforce-native payment-management layer.
Make the Payment Journey Clearer for the Customer.
A good payment experience starts before payment processing. Customers need relevant context around what they are paying, the amount involved and the available payment journey — and should not need to understand the organization's gateway or payment architecture. That is the starting point for improving the customer payment experience.
Customer-facing payments
Bring Relevant Property Payment Journeys Into Salesforce Experience Cloud.
Where a property organization already uses Salesforce Experience Cloud for customer interactions, Bonza can support relevant connected payment journeys within that Salesforce environment — which is how customers make payments through Experience Cloud.
Attention, not automation
Surface Payment Signals Before They Disappear Into Operational Noise.
Signal, context, then a person
Safe ground: a relevant payment moved into overdue status, upcoming recurring payment activity changed, a payment method approaches expiry before future payment activity, a relevant payment position deserves review. Artificial intelligence surfaces those payment signals and takes no action.
See the property payment operation at a glance
Bonza's Payment Command Center can bring relevant collected, outstanding, due, overdue and upcoming payment information into one operational view. That is what a property payment dashboard should show, alongside the customer payment position with relevant property context, a forecast across this period, next period and the future, what needs attention, and recent payment, refund, customer credit and recurring payment activity.
One relationship, many events
One Customer Relationship Can Generate Many Payment Events.
A gateway sees transactions. The business needs the relationship around them.
A gateway sees transactions. Bonza helps the business see the payment relationship around them.
Two teams, one payment story
Give Finance and Customer-Facing Teams Different Views of the Same Payment Story.
Finance and customer-facing teams ask different questions. They should not need different versions of the payment truth — which is how Finance and Customer Service share the same payment context and see the same payment history.
- Collected
- Outstanding
- Due
- Overdue
- Upcoming
- Payment history
- Current payment status
- Refund context
- Customer credit

What often goes wrong
Five Payment-Operations Mistakes That Create More Work Than the Payment Itself.
Treating the gateway as the payment operating system
A gateway processes transactions. It does not automatically create the wider customer payment lifecycle around them.
Treating every unpaid amount the same
Outstanding, due and overdue represent different operational positions, and collapsing them removes the timing context finance needs.
Looking only backward
Historical payment reporting does not explain what is expected next.
Treating refunds and credits as side processes
Post-payment activity changes the original payment story, and a story that changed elsewhere is a story someone has to rebuild.
Building customer payments separately from internal operations
The customer-facing payment and the internal payment record should remain part of the same lifecycle.
The hidden cost
The Hard Part Isn't Finding a Transaction. It's Reconstructing What It Means.
"What is happening with this customer's payments?"
- Check Salesforce
- Check the gateway
- Check the invoice
- Check receivables
- Check the spreadsheet
- Check the refund / credit record
- Reconstruct the answer
The same question, one place to look.
The cost of fragmentation is the operational work required to reconstruct the payment story.

FAQ
Real Estate & Property Payment Questions.
Twelve answers, including the ones that are a plain no.
What is Salesforce payment management for real estate and property organizations?
It is managing the customer payment lifecycle in the same environment as the customer relationship. Bonza Payments is Salesforce-native, so relevant one-time and recurring payments, invoices, receivables, due and overdue activity, refunds, customer credits and upcoming payment visibility stay associated with the Salesforce customer or account record rather than living in a gateway portal, a recurring-payment process and a spreadsheet separately.
Can Bonza manage recurring property-related payments?
Yes, where relevant customer payments repeat on a schedule. Bonza manages the schedule, the payment, its status and the next expected payment, with each one connected to Salesforce. It should not be read as rent management, lease billing, lease renewal, subscription billing or automatic rent collection, none of which Bonza provides.
Can Bonza manage one-time and recurring payments together?
Yes, and that combination is common. A relevant one-time or ad hoc payment and a recurring arrangement can run on the same customer, with both visible in one payment position. An amount from one motion can be overdue while the other keeps collecting on time, and both facts stay visible in the same place.
Can Bonza show outstanding, due and overdue customer payments?
Yes, and it treats them as three different operational states rather than one unpaid figure. Outstanding means still expected, due means expected now, and overdue means past the expected date. The amount does not change between them — the date does, and that timing is what tells a team where to look first.
Can Bonza forecast upcoming property-related payments?
Yes. Payment forecasting in Bonza focuses on relevant upcoming, scheduled and recurring customer payment activity. This is payment-operations forecasting: it is not property revenue forecasting, occupancy forecasting, rental income forecasting, treasury forecasting, bank balance forecasting, cash-flow forecasting, investment forecasting or property valuation forecasting. Expected payment activity is not guaranteed collection.
What is the difference between payment forecasting and cash-flow forecasting?
Payment forecasting covers expected customer payment activity — which payments are upcoming, scheduled or recurring, and when. Cash-flow forecasting is a treasury and finance-planning exercise covering all inflows and outflows against bank positions. Bonza does the first and makes no claim about the second, and treating one as the other leaves neither trusted.
Can Bonza show payment methods approaching expiry?
Yes, as timing context. Where a payment method expires before a future expected payment, that ordering can be surfaced so a person can look at it before the date arrives. It does not say the payment will fail, and there is no automatic card updater, automatic customer outreach, automatic remediation or automatic replacement.
Can Bonza manage refunds and customer credits?
Yes. A refund stays attached to the payment it came from, so the collected figure remains explainable rather than simply lower. Customer credit is recorded and managed within Bonza Payments and is available for relevant future payment use where supported. It is not a tenant wallet, a property wallet, a cash balance, stored funds, escrow or a deposit account, and Bonza does not hold customer money.
Can property organizations use multiple payment gateways with Bonza?
Yes. Bonza provides a Salesforce-native payment-management layer above configured payment gateways, with a configured default and selection of another configured gateway where appropriate. There is no smart routing, least-cost routing, automatic failover, cascading, automatic retries across gateways, success-rate routing, gateway optimisation, unified settlement or token portability, and provider capabilities are not interchangeable.
Can customers make payments through Salesforce Experience Cloud?
Where a property organization already uses Experience Cloud for customer interactions, relevant payment journeys can stay connected within that Salesforce environment, with payment activity flowing back to Salesforce payment context. Bonza does not provide property portal management, tenant or resident portal software, an owner portal, lease documents, maintenance requests, property search, authentication or document management.
Does Bonza replace property management software?
No. Bonza focuses on Salesforce-native payment management rather than property, unit, lease, maintenance or facilities management. Properties, units, leases, occupancy, inspections, owners, tenants, facilities and property operations stay with the property-management system, and Bonza does not claim any of them.
Does Bonza replace an accounting or ERP platform, or automatically collect overdue payments?
No to both. Bonza manages the customer payment lifecycle, not the general ledger or the accounting close, and it is not an ERP, a property-accounting system, a revenue-recognition system, a tax system, a bank, a lender or an escrow platform. It also does not collect overdue payments on its own: it provides relevant payment visibility and operational context, with no automated dunning, autonomous collections, customer chasing, late-fee calculation, legal escalation or eviction workflow.
